Sophie Sandolo won her first tournament as a professional! “I won the Princess Lalla Meriem Cup an invitational tournament played at the Royal Dar es Salaam Golf Club in Rabat - Morocco. I started the tournament playing great golf in tough conditions and after the first two rounds I was leading with three strokes difference. Before the last round I was not well at all, I had flu, as Tiger Woods last week….The last round was very tough, I had a head to head play off with Anja Monke, it was similar to match play! I made a great birdie at the 17th and we finished the 54 holes with the same score! After the one hour and a half play off, 5 long and emotional holes, I holed a 10 feet putt, it was the putt for the victory, at last! I’m really exhausted but I’m so happy, I hope this victory will the first of a long long serie!!” says Sophie Sandolo.
